Nashik Citizens Forum (NCF) a voluntary organization, registered under section 8 of companies act 2013.

Nashik Citizens Forum (NCF) is a registered voluntary organization working since 2005 with the aim of giving direction and speed to the planned development of Nashik metropolis. NCF has made a mark of its work by creating a dialogue between public representatives, administration and policy makers in various fields of Nashik and bringing about real results through it.

It was formed by the enthusiastic professionals and businessmen of Nashik who are keenly interested in the overall development of Nashik region. NCF is a nonpolitical organization and it is working in the direction of social cause, reformation and runs on a no profit no loss basis. Many institutions and organizations of the city are participating in various activities of NCF

The work of promoting the development of Nashik is also going on since a long time through the Forum by creating a dialogue between the office bearers of these institutions and the prominent persons in the government and administration.

NCF`s many proposals have been accepted by the Government and work on projects have commenced. For examples

NCF filed a PIL in Mumbai High Court against putting up of unauthorized Hoarding. The judgment was given in favor of NCF and now you see Nashik city mostly free from Unauthorized Hoardings.

NCF also filed a PIL in Mumbai High Court against the bad condition and ill maintenance of Nashik-Mumbai-Nashik Highway No. 3. This PIL was put once for hearing and the Contractor was fined Rs. 6.5 crores.

NCF keeps on following up issues with the Government and other concerned authorities. NCF is working and following up about the development through Smart City Concept. Pursue various issues with RTO for proper transportation to Public. Rickshaws run on meter only, all such civic problems/ problems of rickshaw are being brought to the notice of authorities from time to time to improve the situation. Follow up and suggestions to the Development Plan of the City through the State Town Planning Department.

Nashik Citizens Forum keep organizing from time to time Lectures/Workshops on various social related subjects like Skilled-Clean-Smart Nashik, which help educate and create awareness among people of the city.

We have been strongly pursuing with MTDC and the Ministry of Tourism to declare Nashik Tourism capital and promote Nashik as an integrated part of the tourism sector of India.

To keep in touch with the social cause and the objectives of our forum, we write frequently to the Collector, Commissioner, Ministers of concern portfolios, and the officers who are directly responsible to execute the development work of our city.

Aims & Objectives

Proposals and Projects

To identify initiate, prepare and follow-up various proposals and projects for the economic development of Nashik region

Various Proposals and Plan

To interact with local/state/center Govt. authorities to promote various proposals and plans for the development of Nashik region and for the benefit of society at large.

Seek Guidance

To bring all like minded citizens of Nashik, elected MPs and MLAs on a common platform to seek their guidance in this regard and also request them to represent the cause of Nashik Citizens Forum at the appropriate level and help them to make work for their social commitment.

Fund Generation

To generate funds through membership subscriptions, voluntary donations, sponsors support, financial institutions which will be used in the best interest of the forum, the society and for social causes.

Survey of Nashik

To undertake a survey of Nashik to review and promote development activities.

New Proposals

To initiate and undertake new proposals for the beautification and marketing of Nashik.

  • To remain in proper Condition the Nashik-Mumbai Highway, filed writ petition.
  • Filed writ petition in High Court, Mumbai against putting up unauthorized Hoardings in the city.
  • Pursuing and protesting against the bad habits of Auto Rickshaw Drivers such as parking the vehicles’ on road, Fixing-up the proper place for Rickshaw/Bus stop as per the need of the passengers. To refrain from arrogant talk with passengers, driving the vehicle without proper dress code, license, badge etc.
  • Mission clean politics activity started by NCF from the year 2011.
  • Creating awareness for the social contribution among people and about

  • Since 2012 felicitations of efficient Corporators of NMC and awarding them for creating awareness among people to elect the right candidate.
  • Keeping in mind the concept of Skilled India of our Prime minister, appealed to the industry to start Training programme at least twice a week for workmen. All associations agreed and few of them have started imparting education for skilled workmen in the company.
  • Pursuing Highways, Air ways & Railways to see if the city uplifted.
